Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Valencia since 2008, with full-time dedication and over 30 years of academic experience. PhD in Law cum laude (1997), I have developed a teaching and research career focused on company law, social economy, energy transition, and technologies applied to corporate governance.
I have been awarded four research evaluation periods (sexenios) recognised by CNEAI (the most recent covering 2018-2023) and six teaching evaluation periods (quinquenios). I have supervised four doctoral theses, defended between 2017 and 2024 within the Doctoral Programme in Law and Criminology at the Faculty of Law (UV) and the Doctoral Programme in Social Economy at IUDESCOOP-UV. I have taught across all undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Commercial Law and have participated in educational innovation projects within the Master's in Social Economy and the Department of Commercial Law.
As Principal Investigator, I coordinated the project TED2021-129787B-I00 "Self-consumption communities as key actors in the energy transition (POWERCOOP)", funded by the Next Generation EU recovery funds. Overall, I have taken part in more than 20 competitive and non-competitive projects, several as PI, with national and international funding, covering areas such as social economy, renewable energy, corporate reform, fintech and crypto-assets regulation.
My scientific output includes landmark monographs (Fusiones heterogéneas, El contrato de Project Finance), chapters in collective works, articles in indexed journals (SCOPUS, FECYT), and recent studies on energy communities, inter-cooperation, and digital governance. Some of these works have been recognised for their doctrinal significance and impact on public policy.
I served as Director of IUDESCOOP from 2019 to 2025, enhancing its research and social outreach through strategic projects, publications, and agreements. I have organised and participated as an invited speaker in national and international conferences (CIRIEC, RULESCOOP, Cooperative Forum, among others), contributing notably to the design and dissemination of public policies on social economy and energy transition.
I currently co-direct the LongevidadLab at IUDESCOOP, a joint initiative of this institute and ILUNION VidaSénior.
